Let's get to the bottom(and top) of your design and marketing requirements Contracting...YOUR part-time designer

Why?

I am finding an increasing number of small to medium businesses who, whilst they cannot justify a full time designer, need a regular, consistant web or graphic design presence. A part-time designer gives them the consistancy, easy access and professional approach they require, at affordable rates compared to normal 'individual' engagements.

My Experience

  • I have worked for small, medium and large companies over the last 20 years, in roles as diverse as sales, marketing, accounting, management, purchasing, importing, warehouse, product development and IT.
  • I am a creative, practical, lateral thinker with a perfectionist streak.
  • I class my Adobe application(InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat PRO) experience at a medium, confident level. These applications have HUGE funtionality that I tap as required. I find anything I do not know or cannot do can be quickly and easily learnt via Adobe Help or Google.
  • I subscribe to a number of publications including Before & After Magazine(design), Desktop: (design) & InDesign(Adobe InDesign) as aides to expand my practical abilites.
  • I have good XHTML and CSS abilities, and reasonable PHP, MYSQL and JavaScript abilities. Most of the latter 3 has been gained modifying Joomla Components, Modules and Bots. I am currently working my way through the CodeIgnitor PHP5 Web Framework as methods of rapidly deploying powerful custom web applications.
